platinum_firebirdHi! First of all, thanks for taking a look at my letter! I’ve tried to give a few ideas and guidelines as to what I like here, but please don’t feel the need to stick rigidly to anything. If you have a story you just feel I’ll like, please go ahead with it!

I’m a fan of romance, adventure (especially quests!), casefic, plotty fic, fluff, gen, world-building and character studies. I am happy with any rating and any tone, from fluffy curtain fic down to pretty dark stuff. I usually prefer at least a bittersweet ending, though. I love fics that are realistic and I love stuff that’s tropey as all get out; go wild.
Some themes/tropes I really love include: characters fighting against/changing fate, everything about survival (what it means, how it changes you, the lengths you went to), the pressures and struggles of leadership, two people against the world together, found family anything, harsh/beautiful (or harshly beautiful) physical landscapes, gifts or gestures with intense or very personal meanings, anything where characters just get one another, characters who grapple with becoming evil or doing evil deeds, villains who believe they’re in the right, villains who just don’t care about morality, characters who are determined hope will prevail above all else, characters who really feel the weight of their heritage/someone's legacy and a pressure to live up to that.
I am also very into AUs and fusions, including: fantasy (urban, high, whatever), post-apocalypse, sci-fi/space, superpowers, Pacific Rim fusions, reincarnation, royal/arranged marriage

I really love porn that’s about the characters and centres their relationship. Emotionally charged, desperate, I-need-you-it-can’t-wait sex is fantastic! Sex that’s the culmination of a slow burn and/or a really intense bout of UST is my absolute jam. I’m pretty vanilla when it comes to things like BDSM, so anything beyond blindfolds and tying up wrists is a no-go for me. I’m not really into dom/sub dynamics, but a bit of dirty talk is great. A bit of rough sex – hair-pulling, pushing up against walls, scratching/biting, not being 100% gentle all the time is also very good ;)

Celebrimbor/Gil-Galad: I would love to know everything about the relationship between these two. When and how do they meet? What happened to Celebrimbor after Nargothrond was destroyed - did he go to Balar, and thus meet Gil-Galad? How does Gil-Galad deal with becoming High King of the Noldor? Perhaps his example of kingship inspires Celebrimbor to become a leader in his own right in Ost-In-Edhil? I would love a fic about Celebrimbor setting the city up, and perhaps Gil-Galad coming to visit him? And we know Gil-Galad warned Celebrimbor against Annatar, and Celebrimbor ignored him - how did that go down, and how did it change their relationship?
Duilin/Rog: So Duilin is an archer, and since Rog's house is called "The House of the Hammer of Wrath", I always sort of assumed he uses a hammer? This might make them opposites who annoy each other, or maybe they're curious about someone who's so different to them? I would love one of them being curious about the other, and taking steps to get to know one another. How did the Houses of Gondolin come to be, anyway, and how did the lords get picked? When did these two first meet? Totally optional, but I have a headcanon about Rog and his family being Avari, and it would be really cool to see the culture clash between him and Duilin if you went that route.
Maeglin/Tuor: I would love really grumpy Maeglin/bright ray of sunshine Tuor. Why does this man keep following him around? Why does he keep trying to talk to him? To Tuor it seems obvious; he really likes Turgon and Idril, surely Maeglin must be just as cool as his family, right? I would essentially love Tuor being very curious about the prickly, stand-offish nephew of the King and determinedly following him around until Maeglin talks to him. Maeglin pretends he doesn't like it, but actually, there's something about this man...
Star Wars: Legends
Dooku/Jocasta Nu: I would kill for their younger selves going on some kind of mission together. How do they like (or not like) each other? Do they rub each other the wrong way or do they find themselves liking and respecting each other pretty quickly? How does Dooku's leaving affect everything?
Lorana & Thrawn: So Lorana survives (somehow) and demands some answers from Thrawn? They're forced to work together because they have a common goal? If you're into Lorana/Thrass, then these two awkwardly interacting with each other, working out how they're going to deal with each other so they can both remain in Thrass' life? Awkward family dinners? I would die for awkward holiday time fic with Lorana and Thrawn both trying to get along for Thrass' sake.
Star Wars: Outbound Flight
Lorana/Thrass: These two are just incredibly cute and I adore them! I would love any kind of fix-it fic where they don't die, and instead go on together. Maybe Outbound Flight crashes and they have to deal with their new life wherever they end up? Maybe they manage to make it back to the Ascendancy/Republic and have to start sorting things out for the colonists/themselves/Outbound Flight? Literally anything with these two would make my day.
A Redtail's Dream
Little Hare/Tuomi: I just want these two to see each other again in the human world! Maybe Tuomi goes out into the woods now and then to compose music, and is joined by an inquisitive hare? Or Little Hare becomes sort of like a guardian spirit to Tuomi? Something about him being a guardian spirit throughout Tuomi's life would be very cute. Maybe Little Hare's quest to woo an older Tuomi who doesn't recognise his human form and doesn't really remember what happened in the dreamworld?
Stand Still Stay Silent
Sigrun/Emil: I see this as a relationship that matures from and builds on the mentor/protégé thing they’ve started in canon. Doesn’t necessarily have to have All The Romantic Feelings; for this ship I’m perfectly happy with them being Friends With Benefits who just have fun, enthusiastic, enjoyable sex every so often. If you're willing to go the smut route, I’d love pegging (though you don’t have to go there!), especially combined with kinking off being mentor and protégé/Emil learning from older, more experienced Sigrun. For non-smut prompts, something about them on a mission/adventure, or something about them settling back into life at home. I'd really love something about them meeting again after several years, both older and wiser, and suddenly finding themselves really into each other.
