platinum_firebirdHi! First of all, thanks for taking a look at my letter! I’ve tried to give a few ideas and guidelines as to what I like here, but please don’t feel the need to stick rigidly to anything. If you have a story you just feel I’ll like, please go ahead with it!

I’m a fan of romance, adventure (especially quests!), casefic, plotty fic, fluff, gen, world-building and character studies. I am happy with any rating and any tone, from fluffy curtain fic down to pretty dark stuff. I usually prefer at least a bittersweet ending, though. I love fics that are realistic and I love stuff that’s tropey as all get out; go wild.
Some themes/tropes I really love include: characters fighting against/changing fate, everything about survival (what it means, how it changes you, the lengths you went to), the pressures and struggles of leadership, two people against the world together, found family anything, harsh/beautiful (or harshly beautiful) physical landscapes, gifts or gestures with intense or very personal meanings, anything where characters just get one another, characters who grapple with becoming evil or doing evil deeds, villains who believe they’re in the right, villains who just don’t care about morality, characters who are determined hope will prevail above all else, characters who really feel the weight of their heritage/someone's legacy and a pressure to live up to that.
I am also very into AUs and fusions, including: fantasy (urban, high, whatever), post-apocalypse, sci-fi/space, superpowers, Pacific Rim fusions, reincarnation, royal/arranged marriage

I really love porn that’s about the characters and centres their relationship. Emotionally charged, desperate, I-need-you-it-can’t-wait sex is fantastic! Sex that’s the culmination of a slow burn and/or a really intense bout of UST is my absolute jam. I’m pretty vanilla when it comes to things like BDSM, so anything beyond blindfolds and tying up wrists is a no-go for me. I’m not really into dom/sub dynamics, but a bit of dirty talk is great. All the forbidden love tropes!! Up to you why the human suitor is unsuitable - is it a class thing? Do the Prince's parents hate him/his family? Is he from a rival kingdom? Is there a prejudice about humans marrying elves? I really want to see a couple who have a lot of obstacles put in their way, but manage to overcome them anyway. Despite all these obstacles, how do these two meet? How do they fall in love? I would love if the elven prince manages to convince his parents to let him marry the unsuitable suitor despite everything.
Famous Author/Protagonist Who Wants to Retire
I would LOVE a story about the author getting pulled into the world of their own book, and realizing that the protagonist they love writing about so much is actually sick of all the bullshit they've been put through and is really Tired. I'd love either a lot of comedy for this, or maybe something a bit darker about how much shit the protagonist has had to go through. Bonus if the author eventually ends up deciding to stay in the world of their creation.
Hideous Monster Who’s Actually A Cursed Prince/Princess With The Sight Forced To Marry Him
What forces her to marry him? A threat to her kingdom/family? And how did he get cursed? How exactly does she begin to see under his hideous exterior to the man within? What other challenges might they have to overcome? Does the curse ever get broken, or are they happy as they are?
Human King Who Stumbled Into The Deep Forest By Accident/Elven King Who Kidnaps Him
This can either be dark or comedy. What prompts the elven king to kidnap this human? Love/lust at first sight? Is the human king bemused, or horrified? If the elven king makes advances, does he go along with it or is he not up for it at all? I would be totally into a light-hearted story where the elven king is more of a guide-like figure who 'kidnaps' the human in the sense of guiding him to the safety of the hidden elf city, and they end up falling in love. I would be equally jazzed by a story involving a horrified human king getting kidnapped by otherworldly, terrifying elves and having no idea how to get out of said predicament.
Human/Roommate Who's Desperately Trying To Hide That They're A Vampire
Please, all the comedy for this. How does the vampire go about hiding his vampirism, and how oblivious is the roomate that he doesn't notice? I'd love a series of hijinks where the vampire almost gets discovered but manages to play it off/keep his secret. Bonus for the human discovering the secret at the end of the fic and being cool with it.
Little-known rock singer/His #1 fan who is a famous actor
I just love the idea of the rock singer struggling to gain any traction in his career, until he suddenly encounters a famous A-list actor who loves his work, and wants to scream to the world about how good this rock singer is. One instagram post later...How does the rock singer deal with newfound fame, and with the actor wanting to hang out? Maybe he doesn't achieve instant fame, and the famous actor comes to every one of his shows and always manages to steal the show? Maybe the actor is just trying to be supportive and ends up messing it all up every time? I'd love it if the actor was sweet but a dork compared to the rock singer's stand-offish attitude, and how they come together despite that.
Mountaineer Climbing A Difficult Mountain/Mountaineer Of Rival Team Climbing The Same Mountain
All the rivalry tropes! Meeting in base camp, some gentle (or not-so-gentle) teasing about who's going to summit first, turning it into a competition, maybe powering through hardships while thinking about how they don't want to be beaten by the other? Or perhaps the groups are climbing different routes up the mountain and competing to see which is faster? Optional but if you wanted to do a historical AU, setting this in the early 20th century with two teams competing to be the first to reach the summit of the mountain via different routes would be an awesome idea. And maybe something bad happens - they get stranded together? Avalchales kill off the other members of their team? They get stuck in a crevasse together? All the drama and tension and fire-forged love (or ice-forged, in this case!)
Self-Aware Magic Sword & Its Various Wielders Through Fantasy History
I would love a series of vignettes about who the various wielders were. Go wild with the variation! What kind of weird characters have picked up the sword, what were their goals, and did the sword want to help or hinder them? Does the sword have certain prerequisties you have to fulfill before you can wield it? Do you have to be evil or good, or an elf/orc/halfling, or royalty?
Snarky jaded male supervillain/Adorably optimistic male superhero
I would love the supervillain going from irritated to exasperated to fond to unwillingly but hopelessly in love. The superhero just never gives up, never stops smiling - how??? I would love the superhero being determined that they're not going to give up until the supervillain turns good and the supervillain being endlessly amazed at the superhero's optimism and stubbornness. Bonus for a supervillain who feels like he's not worthy of love and trust but craves both from the superhero anyway.
Very Attractive Knight/Gruff Male Armourer Forging His New Armour
The gruff armourer definitely doesn't have a crush on this handsome knight. Definitely not. Nope. There's no reason he's taking so long making this particular set of armour /perfect/. That's basically all I want from this prompt; the armourer falling for the pretty boy against his will, and the knight being oblivious right up until that moment he isn't (and then he's totally into it, because that armourer has a hot beard and muscles like /hot damn/) Your choice whether the armour is for serious combat or is more showy. Perhaps the armourer can also weave magic into his creations? I'd totally be up for some h/c where the knight actually gets hurt in a battle and the armourer feels guilty that he didn't make the armour good enough.
Superheroine/Superhero/Male Former Villain
The villain has had his redemption arc and is now trying to do good - but he's still nervous when these two corner him somewhere. Are they going to make him pay for his crimes? No - they're just really down for a smokin' hot threesome. Honestly I would love you forever if you gave me smut for this prompt, especially if the former villain was the one in the middle, slightly confused about how he ended up here, unsure he deserves this, but being doted on all the same. For a non-smut prompt, maybe the villain meets these two while living peacefully/doing something good, and is nervous they'll rat him out/say something, but they just accept it and support him.
OF3: Bakery Owner/Injured Former Olympian Recuperating Through Baked Goods & Bakery Staff
Just all the cute fluff for this!! Meet-cute, fluffy baking scenes, light angst about the career-ending injury, the Olympian finding a new path in life through the bakery...EVERYTHING CUTE AND SWEET AS SUGAR. And of course all the bakery's staff ship it like burning and construct random hijinks to try and push them together. I've no preference on what sport the former-Olympian competed in.
